Chrissy Robinson Domestic Violence Justice Fund

To Our Dear Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,

Today would have been Chrissy’s 39th birthday.

Please find below a message from Linda and Ken Robinson, parents of the late Chrissy Robinson, who died in early November after enduring severe domestic violence.

Our beloved Chrissy’s death last month was incredibly tragic, devastating, and unnecessary.

Chrissy was a victim of intimate partner domestic violence. She suffered domestic abuse which no person should ever have to experience.

Ultimately, Chrissy’s young and beautiful life was taken from us.

Chrissy was only 38 years old when she died, leaving behind two beautiful daughters and scores of loved ones who have been struggling to understand how such a brutal and senseless loss could occur.

As Chrissy’s parents, and on behalf of our family, we wanted to offer our most heartfelt and sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support you have all shown to us during this time.

Though we are each grieving Chrissy’s death in our own way, please know that your prayers, love, calls and messages of support, donations to Chrissy’s Memorial, and every other gesture of kindness have meant more to our family than words can ever express.

While we still have much to figure out through our grieving process, one thing is absolutely clear: No parent should ever have to bury a child, especially as a result of intimate partner domestic violence.

In the short time since we laid Chrissy to rest, we have heard the personal stories of so many other parents and families who have endured tragedies such as ours.  Intimate partner domestic violence is a national crisis which demands immediate attention.

Our family fully supports the current and active law enforcement investigation(s) working to bring those responsible for Chrissy’s death to justice.

In our commitment to support law enforcement, we believe it is wise to not discuss any specific details related to Chrissy’s death until the criminal justice system has had a chance to fulfill its mission.

With that said, we will also not be silent.  We will work each and every day to make sure that intimate partner domestic violence is addressed and that no more lives are lost.

Chrissy is no longer with us. Her Earthly voice was silenced when domestic violence took her life.

It is now our job to be Chrissy’s voice.

In the coming weeks and months, The Chrissy’s Voice Foundation will be launched with a mission to tackle head on the epidemic of intimate partner domestic violence.

As this new journey takes shape and moves forward, we will need your continued love, support, and prayers.

In the interim, please continue to visit Chrissy’s memorial website where we will post updates about the foundation and law enforcement efforts, as well as where you may make memorial contributions in Chrissy’s name for which 100% of the proceeds will be used to seek justice for Chrissy and other victims of domestic violence.

If you, or someone you know, is at risk because of domestic violence, we implore you to immediately call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

Happy 39th Birthday, Chrissy.  We love and miss you so much.

With Love and the Greatest Gratitude,

Linda and Ken Robinson
